For decades, Kaelismidjan Frost (or Frost), has specialised in designing, installing and maintaining
refrigeration systems, both industrial and commercial. Our main focus
has been the design and installation of industrial refrigeration systems, both on board vessels and landbased.
Extensive international experience
In recent years, Frost has had extensive experience in working in an international environment, including China, South America, Russia, Africa, Norway, Denmark, the Faroe Islands and elsewhere. Projects have
involved the design and installation of refrigeration systems on board ships, with a capacity of 50 to 300 tonnes per 24 hours, and in land-based plants with a capacity of 50 to
1000 tonnes per 24 hours.

Frost has its main offices in Akureyri and a branch office in Reykjavik The company’s turnover in 2012 was
around USD 15m. The company employs around 40 staff, including
engineers, mechanics, specialists in refrigeration technology and welders certified by Lloyd’s Register.
International certification
Frost is well prepared to undertake any type of project involving refrigeration systems, or any form of piping system for industries that need to fulfil the requirements of international certification
entities.
